1984 Olds Ciera Window Regulator Replacement

It seems that finding info on this model car is very hard to find. I wanted to know how do you remove the window regulator assembly on the driver side door? The regulator tape inside is stripped very badly and I cannot get my window up past half way. This is a manual window. I have already removed the panel any everything but now I have rivets that seem to hold it in place.

I wish I could just replace the tape that is badly stripped, but the plastic clip that holds it on the end of the track is virtually impossible to remove w/o breaking it.

What's the best way to remove the regulator and remove it from the door?

Welcome to AF !!

You'll need to drill out those rivets, the replacement might come with screws or you'll need some rivets(and a rivet gun) the size of the old ones.

I'll PM you a link.
