Rear View Mirror

Does any one know if you can put a rear view mirror from a 2001 Alero on a 2000? I am going to replace mine and i found a good deal on one but its from a 2001. I called my local dealer but they were no help.

Yes, they should be interchangable, as long as the electrical connector is the same.

Just so everyone knows the 2001 mirror will work on a 2000 but the wire harness is not the same. I had to cut the wire and splice it.

OMG! This crappola is EXACTLY why GM is BROKE and about to go outta business!

They probably spent a half a million dollars retooling to make the two connectors incompatible.
