Cool 91 Tracker Will Not Stay Running

My 91 Tracker quit running at a set of lights. I had it towed back to my house and started working on it. First I put a complete tune-up in it (Cap,Rotor,Wires and Plugs). I tried to start it but the only way I got it to start was by telling the E.C.M. it was flooded (pushed gas pedel to floor and started it) it would back fire once in awhile. The Ideal would start to go up and down but would die after a couple of mins. Found this web site and started reading some of the other problems people have had. I swapped out the fuel filter and cleaned the E.G.R. and the ideal contol valve. Know it stays running but when you try going up any grade on the road it loses speed and power. I've only manage to get it up to 25 m.p.h.. The check engine light is off and never comes on. It has a 1.6l s.f.i., automatic w/a/c/ 4x4 Any help would be great. Thank you

Re: 91 Tracker Will Not Stay Running

Egr cleaning may be more extensive than just the valve. Good luck
