Ford Focus WRC Rallye Deutschland 2001 [Revell]

While I was a bit bored with my Escort MkII I've start to thinking of new project. Focus was my first ever so when I looked at it I get an idea to rebuild it. Kit was Revells Focus driven by McRea/Sainz. It's still Revell but now it's Delecours' car. As ussual had some problems with this kit. Ok lets see what was done so far:
First step was to reshape front bumper.

Body with bumper and rear wing attached.

After cutting off plastic from vents in the bonnet body was ready for painting.

I will be using Reji decals.

They didn't do decals for rear bumper so I had to paint it.

Next I started with underchassis.
Shocks with new springs.

Everythig paited ready to assembling.

Spare wheel and suspension with brakes.

Next step - interior.
Seats.

Dash.

Interior with some details added.

.
That's all for now. next update soon. I want to finish this one and The Escort in two weeks. After this time time I'm going away for two months so there will be no modelling at all
Hope You will like it.

Nice start to your new project.
Interior looks very nice. And I like the small details you added.

The paint on the body looks a bit rough in the pictures. I hope you're going to sand it smooth before you're going to apply the decals. Otherwise you might get some problems with silvering (air trapped under the decals). I learned it the hard way, sadly.

Thanks for comment DerXL. Pic of the body was made after painting so sanding&polishing was on the way.

Re: Ford Focus WRC Rallye Deutschland 2001 [Revell]

Hi!
As I said before next update will be soon so here it is!

Finished interior with few more details added.

Body with decals and after clearcoating - before polishing.

Front bumper is missing cause Reji decals were odd and I couldn't apply them so I had to paint it. Without any surprises should be ready in two weeks.

Re: Ford Focus WRC Rallye Deutschland 2001 [Revell]

Thats true Spike. Wheels are from Tamiya kit and if I tried to hide them I would had to rebuild arches or suspension. To be honest I didn't want to do that. Plan was to build something quick with just few details. Rear wheels are looking bit odd cause they're not attached yet.
