Rear Brakes On 2006 Saturn Ion 2.4 L

Hi all. Anyone have a step by step procedure on how to chage the rear brake shoes on a 2006 Saturn Ion 2.4 L? Front brakes are a breeze but it's been a while sinch I changed rear brake shoes. Also, after installation, do they need adjustmet or are they self-adjusting? And while I am writing this, I need to change the fuel filter as well. Where is it located?
