demon carb problem

has anyone here tried putting an air cleaner on a demon carb that has the choke linkage running through right where the air cleaner is supposed to sit? if so, what did you do to alleviate the problem. i will have to use a spacer between the carb and the air cleaner due to the fact i am running an HEI distributor and the cleaner would hit it if not raised up, so im looking at possible a real custom deally here lol

I'd put a 'fly's eye" air cleaner on and be done, all problems solved.
