White Smoke

I have a 96 toyota tacoma. Recently when I start the truck when its cold it spits out white smoke from the exhaust pipe. Clears up after about 15 mins. Then it began to overheat after i drove it around. I added coolant and that solved my overheating problem however I'm now adding it weekly. I checked my oil and it seemed normal it wasn't creamy or had any discolorments. About two years ago I had my engine block changed out with a used one, changed my waterpump, radiator, hoses, wires, cap rotor etc. Also when the car is warmed up, and I'm at an idle, the rpms is just a hair below normal. I don't have any accelerating problems. Any ideas?

Re: White Smoke

Sounds like you may be leaking coolant into one or more cylinders it could be caused by a cracked head or it could be a head gasket leak. If you can find a good shop with a cooling system pressure checker they should be able to determine if you have a coolant to combustion leak.
