Looking for detail parts for 1/12 Lambo LP500S

Not sure if anybody even has these on the market - I'm getting ready to start a Testors/Doyusha 1/12 Lamborghini LP500S. Some quick googling hasn't turned up anything, but thought I'd ask - are there any PE or detail sets for this kit? Specifically would like the scripts/logos to place on the body at the end, as they're molded in now.

Thanks!

Re: Looking for detail parts for 1/12 Lambo LP500S

Hi!

As far as I know, there isn't any detail set available for this kit...

One of the few 1/12th PE maker is Acustion (expensives, and not so impressive IMHO). So try to take a look but...

Good luck!

Olivier.

If the scripts are what you really need, I've had good luck covering them with BMF before priming and painting, and then carefully removing the paint on them before clearcoating.

This is Tamiya's 1/24 Countach. This pic pixilizes the logos a bit, but they are actually very clear. In 1/12, the effect would be even better.

Otherwise, I doubt that there's a lot of help that a PE set would give to a 1/12 Countach. Except for maybe scripts and mesh screens, in larger scales it's hard to get photoetched parts to look like anything other than photoetched parts. They're just too thin and flat to represent much of anything else accurately.
