engine code 24 lumina apv
I have a 95 3.1 lumina apv and the engine light is coming on. I pulled the code 24 and the description says:
Vehicle speed sensor signal showed less than 5 MPH for 4 seconds when engine speed was greater than 3000 RPM and transmission was not in park or neutral. my speedometer is not working, it started acting up one day and would work here and there and then nothing. Does this mean the speed sensor is not working? To me it looks like it is and something else is the issue. Any help would be nice.

Sounds pretty indicative of a bad VSS to me. I'd go ahead and replace it.
