code p0446 and p0453

Hi, I have a 2000 s-10 4x4 pickup 4.3 v6 bout 140,000 miles. Just transfered to PA from NJ and failed inspection for emmisions. Mechanic said evap problem with codes p0446 and p0453. I know both codes are related to evap system. Is this likely an electrical problem (like a bad switch or sensor) or something else causing the codes to set?(like a bad vacuum hose or clogged hose)Truck runs fine but sometimes hard to start when cold out. New fuel pump bout 2 years ago. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Re: code p0446 and p0453

Code P0453 if fuel tank pressure sensor high voltage that may be throwing the code P0445.

To repair you will need a engine capable scanner and a good volt ohm meter and a good repair manual with the repair flow chart for that code.

Go threw the repair flow chart to find problem.
Good luck
