96 Continental ABS issue

Hi,
The ABS on my car is kicking in when I step on the brake going 20 MPH or less. Anyone ever hear of this issue? Is there a way to temporarily disable it?

Thanks,

Steve

Re: 96 Continental ABS issue

I found out what the issue is and want to pass it on. There is a ring gear on the half shaft that is made of aluminum. If this splits then it starts to wobble around causing the ABS to kick in. Solution, either replace the ring but it is just as easy to replace the whole half shaft. My mechanic replaced the half shaft for 150.00.
