Oil Switch Part # (for dummy light)

Anyone have the Nissan/Infiniti part # for the Oil Switch that triggers the dummy light on the dash for a 1996 G20?. It is located above the starter towards the passenger wheel on all fwd SR20's.

Just changed oil today and noticed the switch is leaking oil. The G20 only has 47,000 and is already leaking.

Had to replace the same switch twice on my sold '91 NX2000 at around 60,000 miles then again around 113,000. But I don't have any records of the part # and it also might have changed since '91.

I am going to take it that the SR20DE's are known for this being the common oil leak. I have mentioned this to approx. 4-5 other SR20 owners when they could not track down an oil leak and I was right every time.

Anyone know what the expected life span of one of those switches is. It only cost like $7.50, but is some what of a pain to get up in there to replace it. UGH!

Again, thanks George. Hey, I got this listing also. 25240-89960 as an alternate part #.

Have any clue why there are 3 different ones, or does this possibly give me the understanding that Nissan is or has tried to fix these leaking bastards?

Now the list is:

25240-89920 or
25240-89915 or
25240-89960

all the same part. Oil Pressure Switch.

Interesting. I cannot come up with that part number as an alternative anywhere. I have the B13 fiche, the P10 fiche, and the Nissan FAST computer system.

Where did you get that part number from? It could be all my references are old.

I got the part # initially from a guy who is listing part #'s for all '91-'94 SE-R's on his website and will be posting '95 and up parts as well. I think he works for a Nissan dealer. I am at work right now and do not have the link.

So what I did was go to www.NissanParts.cc and did a search on both the part #'s you gave me

25240-89920 or
25240-89915

and guess what...

...every time, the part # 25240-89960 came up instead for $7.81 + shipping. So I can assume that is the alternate part # for those and hopefully a revised seal is on that one.

Interesting. I have the same computerized parts CD. He must have a newer version. Cool.
