TPMS Question....2005 Xterra

Does anyone know if the aftermarket TPMS sensors will be recognized by the factory (onboard) computer in Nissan (Xterra in this case) vehicles?

Would like to mount a set of snow tires on extra rims and only want to have to do this once.

Also are Nissan dealers the only ones with the equipment to load/flash TPMS sensor codes/I.D.s to the vehicle's computer.

Thanks guys...if this is in the wrong section, my appologies.

Re: TPMS Question....2005 Xterra

The ecm has to be programmed for each sensor. I had one changed under warranty and they forgot to program it. Light came back on forcing another trip back to the dealer. A piece of black tape over the light works just fine.
