Hello,
I have a 97 Pontiac transport that jerks and sometimes die when in drive as you press the gas. It doesn't do it in neutral and if you slowly press the gas it will go. The CEL is not on and I have check just about everything including the ECM. I have not replaced the plug wires as it Idles fine with no misfire. The plugs and EGR are new. I have checked the MAF, MAP and Changed the Battery cables as they were in pretty bad shape. Any help would be wonderful. Oh this is a 3.4L.

I have found something and I am hoping it may be the problem. It is the wire that goes up the backside of the motor to the Ignition control Module. I would like to know what you guys think. The wires have a small melted area that looks like it has been sitting on the exhaust. I am also replacing the plug wires. Correction to the first post is more of a bucking feeling and if you don't let off of the gas it stalls and sometimes it will stall as soon as you let off.

Ok the problem is solved it was the wire coming off of the ICM going to what I believe is the crank sensor it was sitting on the exhaust and was melted half way thru. So if you start to have problem when you give it gas and it bucks like a bronco then check this first.
