Help-Heater only blows cold air (rear)

I searched but did not find anything related to this problem.

My friend owns a 2003 Durango and he has a problem with the heater in his Durango because it only blows cold air in the rear part of the SUV. The blower is working and we tried to adjust the temperature in the back using both controllers (front and rear) but we didn't have the hot air in the back, just in the front. No problems with the AC though. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Re: Help-Heater only blows cold air (rear)

I had this problem in my '01. It turned out there was a problem with one of the little gear motors that adjust the dampers in the rear fan housing on the passenger side in the rear. The dealer had to order the whole unit to get the gear motor, no individual parts. Works good now, though.

His blower motor resistor pack is slowly going out. They are known to have issues. Takes about 30 mins to fix and cost under $10.
