Help
I recently purchase one of the school cars and when to the big track at Willow Springs last Friday, Lots of fun driving the car. Problems 1. Need new windshield, it cracked, The problem I think is that the wiper motor and the windshield touch when and if the car flex's?? I have been told that the windshield is from a 1995 Mustang can any one confirm this, anyone know where can I get a lexan windshield? 2. What brake pads are best? 3. Are there kits available to rebuild the calipers? Where is a good place to get new rotor's. Thanks for your help.

Re: Help
My windshield is cracked down the right side and I have just left it that way. I have a spare that came w/ the car in my shed. They apparently come from a SN95 mustang (94-98).
I purchased brake rotors from Panoz directly... they're PFC brand. I'm running the school pads as they're an endurance racing compound and suit my type of use (HPDEs) as they last forever. Not sure on caliper rebuild kits.

Re: Help
I have gone thru two glass windshields in less than a season. I am now in the process of installing a lexan Unit. You can order one from www.percyshp.com. The blems are 60% off and looks fine. Good luck

Lexan - Summit Racing Pads - Personal choice. I like Performance Friction 01 compound (race ready, no beading needed). I use 3 set of Rear for every set of Front (think I need to install a bias adjuster this winter). Caliper rebuild kit - hope someone has part numbers, I would like to do both front and rear this winter.

Re: Help
I've used Shields for Lexan Windshields in the past. 1/4" coated is about $430. Not sure how their pricing compares but, I was satisfied with the product and the customer service was great.

Re: Help
For rebuild kits you should be able to get them here...
http://www.zeckhausen.com/Brembo/Con...es.htm#Rebuild We have Brembo F40 calipers for Brembo F40 calipers you can use Stoptech seals and boots. They are a direct fit. The P/N of the F40 caliper is actually 20.4862.05/06 for trailing-mount calipers. The F40 uses 44/38mm pistons

Re: Help
Thanks for all the help, I ordered a windshield from Percy and will be ordering a rebuild kit for the brake system. I notice that Brian has a tag that suggest he has a 427 ? cup killer, my last track car was a cup car, they are fast cars, I think the Panoz will be a lot more fun in the cornors. Brian can you tell me if it's 427 hp or 427 ci.?? I am hoping that once I purchase a new engine that I might be as fast on the straight away as a cup car. Any suggestions on what type of engine and hp would be good. Thanks

Re: Help
^ He's got a 351 stroker (427 cubes) that makes upwards of 800hp at full boogie on an engine dyno, but he can elaborate on that
![]() We're building up our 302 to about 400 horses trying to get equal performance to the Z06 Corvettes we've been tracking for the past 5 years.
