5 Speed Conversion

Lookin for some info on a 5 speed conversion to my 94 cougar XR-7. I have a t-5 5 speed the and the bell housing off a 84 5.0, the clutch pedal and full assembly along with master and slave cylinder. I was wondering if it would be easy to convert or possibly use trany mounts and crossmember off an early 90's mustang gt. I also have the ecu from a 4.6 mustang 5 speed. Any info would help.

Re: 5 Speed Conversion

I'd try to use the tranny mounts from a manual transmission SuperCoupe.

Re: 5 Speed Conversion

I'm currently in the process of finding the tranny mounts and yes I decided to take all parts off of the Super Coupe. The only snag is I'm worried about running stock rear end. Was wondering if any body had the specs on 94 cougar xr7 rear end. I can't seem to find anything and honestly don't think it's geared for it. Was thinking of running a ford 9 inch but would hate to get rid of the independent rear suspension. Any ideas would be helpful. thanks
