Question Lights/Dash dimming

When driving my 96 K1500 I notice that my lights and dash dim or fade randomly, they never completely go out or stay dimmed. The battery gauge shows a full charge (14V) and doesn't move. The problem doesn't seem to happen when I'm stopped, just when I'm rolling.

The problem is probably all the time, I just don't notice it unless it is at night and my lights are on.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Re: Lights/Dash dimming

Does the light switch seem to get hot?- could be a poor connection there- starting to arc-- I'd pull it apart and see if there are signs of heat- either in the connection, or in the switch itself- then replace what needs to be.

What light switch are you referring to? Under the hood?
