2001 F150 6 cylinder altenator keeps failing
Already replaced alternator 3 times this year.
This time it quit charging while at idle but as you reved up the motor it would show that it is charging. The last one was a new one. Is there a voltage regulator on this model??? I tightened up the belt but this did not help any. Please help. |

Check the plugs on the alternator for a bad connection. Part of the work is done in the dash. Make sure the charge indicator light is working. Normally the connectors are loose.
