00-02 Stock Amp?

Not sure if this is a common sence question or not, but does the 00-02 J's have a stock amp? if so, where can i find it and how many watts is it capable of? im needing to power only 1 8 inch sub and am hoping i wont have to buy an amp over it.

My J-Body came with an amp tucked behind the carpet on the driver side in the truck. Code UQ3 for the "6 speaker premium sound system" available on the LS Sport.

Premium sound system.... ha ha. Not even the Monsoon setup that came in the Sunfires are good. They all sound like shit still.. That little power booster isn't enough to be called an AMP.

I have the 6 speaker in my sunfire...

If it works for ya bud, thats all that matters. To me... Infinity Kappa speakers and my nice Alpine Deck sounds killer in the cav..

okay so i was trying to put in a new deck in my z24 model chevy cavalier, and i took it to bestbuy, they called me back and said that they couldn't finish the job because my bose factory amp was blown. they said that when they plugged the deck into the car, it made some type of noise even with the car off...where is the factory amp? could i bypass (pretty sure that would mean re-wiring all the speakers)...where could i even find one?
