Hi I have a 02 VW Jetta 1.8T, I changed the water pump 3 times and It starts to leak from the weeping hole on the water pump after a month or so of driving. Water pumps are all new not rebuilt. Can any one help.

The water pump is after market. Could the timing belt self tensioner be putting to much tension on the timing belt causing the water pump to wear out?

try to get a o-e water pump. are you getting most expencive one you can get and are you getting them at nappa or car quest? no auto zone or advanced. anyway like he said you may have to mutch tension on it.

I have never had good luck with napa or "rebuilt" water pumps, they never seal right.
