problem with wiring
i have a 1993 grand am se with 3.3 liter engine, and automatic trans. i recently took the instrument cluster out to replace some bulbs. when i put the cluster back in, the dome lights and dinger stay on with the key OUT of the ignition switch, also had to run new wires for the radio because of this. i had to remove the fuse from the fuse box to stop the dinger, and dome lights from comming on, so now neither work at all. i checked all the wires and am clueless as to what to try next. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: problem with wiring
welcome to AF !
Did the bulbs go out while installing the radio ? If so you could have burnt out a modul in the wiring attached to the cluster. A real PITA!

i had the car running, and when i put the cluster back in, the dinger started going. but i did think about that, and took the cluster out, and even out, the dinger, dome lights, and radio still acted the same was as when the cluster was in

Re: problem with wiring
Yeah if the power(battery) was not disconnected when you were installing or removing the cluster thats most likly when it fried something.
Glad you got it fixed!
