sonoma 4WD
I have 1997 GMC Sonoma 4wd A.T. 100,000 km
Always the same problem (4wd. will not light up & will not engage) About 6 years ago they replaced the TCCM That was good for 5 years. Now the same problem ,they put in a used encoder motor. That was good for 3 months. Then I disconnected the battery & reconnected it. (it WORKED) But it only lasted 2 months, so I did it again (good for a month) so now it will not work at all. Do I need a new encoder motor .a TCCM or what Thanks for any help. Ben

PROPER TESTING FIRST.
Ground pin 13 on diagnostic connector and get and post back codes.
