BMW 3,5 CSL Jagermeister - 1:24 Arii

An old kit that I started to build 5 years ago. I got broken the right A-pillar and It almost went to the bin...

I managed to get a Jagermeister decal sheet and I finally finish it. Not something to be proud of it, but better than throw it away.

Nice work indeed.

The car came out very nice. If you hadn't mentioned the fact that one of the A-pillars had been broken, I'd never have known.

Good job to fix it though, would have been a shame to throw such a beauty away.

One picture from the broken and repaired pillar. I also had to rebuild the chrome strip around the side window.

Very nice finish, I assume the Jagermeister livery is a phantom version as I do not remember seeing it on this car. It looks like the ride height should be quite a lot lower. I am building the same kit and know that it isn't great so know that you have done a very good job!

How did you get on with the front and rear windows? On test fitting them I have found that they are virtually the same size as the window openings and so I do not know how I will glue them in without any glue showing! Did you have the same problem?

Yes, this Jagermeister version is a phantom, as you said. There were some Jagermeister sponsored cars, but with the not-so-wide body. This decal sheet came from a Revell BMW E21 kit, I just put every decal where it looks better for me. One funny task was to remove the 'Goodyear' markings engraved on the tyres, as the Revell E21 shows Dunlop sponsoring logos.

It looks not really low, but not too high that I needed to modify it. I've got a second kit that will build (i hope so) as the black one, with decals from S27, similar to your green one, and maybe I'll make it a bit lower.

What I should fix was the front wheels, they were too much inside the body, not a correct wide.

Nothing special with the clear parts for the front and rear windows. But I glue the side ones three or four times... their fitting is more a question of faith than anything...

As I said, this is a very very simple and crude kit... but the model is really a beautiful beast !!!

Why so big ground clearance?
