I have a 2ltr 1994 manual transporter that cuts out on hot days . it feels like no fuel. If left stand for 5 to 10 min it will go for about 1 km if left longer the further she will go . the puzzling thing only on hot days after driving most of the day. Please help !!!!

Re: hot transporter

Probably the coil over heating.

Buy yourself a can of brake cleaner, which evaporates really quickly and is highly flammable. SHUT THE IGNITION OFF after the failure and spray the coil with this stuff. Wait for the stuff to evaporate (and cool the coil) if it starts right up you need a new coil. If it explodes you didn't wait long enough for the brake cleaner to evaporate and you need a new van.

peace
