ive got a 97 dodge stratus no brake lights. Fuses are good bulbs look fine too. Im told it could be a brake switch actually at the pedal itself anyone know how to change this or if I can get it at advance auto or local Car part retail? Thanks.

Re: 97 Stratus brake switch
It is always good to test first- check for power at the White/Tan wire at the brake pedal switch- with brake pedal depressed- if no power there- go ahead and jumper the Red/Black wire to the White/Tan- see if brakes light up-- if so replace (or adjust) the brake light switch......

Re: 97 Stratus brake switch
it was the switch needing to be replaced there was no power to say going back to the lights the new switch cost about 14 dollars and took bout thirty minutes to replace by hubby who knows little about cars. saved me 45 dollars it would have cost to take it in to shop! Thanks
