Does a 95' park avenue have a fusible link in the battery lines. If so Where is it located.

Re: Fusible Link?

No, it has master fuses in the under hood box, to be sure check the wiring diagrams at autozone.com, repair guides.

Re: Fusible Link?

No. I'm trying to chase an old problem with my charging light staying on. Someone told me that a partialy separted fusible link could cause this problem. I've repalced the alternator which was going bad, the PCM, and the battery has been tested twice and the alternator too.

I did replace the PCM before the alternator. When I put the new alternator on the light would still stay lit for a while and go off. Then one day I disconnected and connected the battery cable back and forth rapidly and after that the battery light has been on permantely since. Whatever was going on i finished it off.

Should I replace the PCM again. I got it from Oreilly's and it has a lifetime warrenty on it. Should I replace it again to rule it out.

Exclamation Re: Fusible Link?

Never disconnect the battery when the engine is running both the pcm and alternator can be damaged. Again there is no fusible link at the starter harness, check the diagrams as suggested.
