Angry 2005 Kia Rio Door lock broken

I have a 2005 Kia Rio and the driver side door will not unlock. Is there a way that I can get into the door panel without opening the door just so I can get to what I need to so I can open my door? If not is there any way I can get the door open? It seems as if the lock is broken because the key will not unlock it and I can't pull the lock up (it's a manual lock) also the door handles have a lot of play in them. Any advise would be great.
