1997 gmc safari electrical problem

if the vehicle sets for a day or 2 the battery goes dead
i have replaced the battery and alt.
showing a draw but i can not find it.
i have heard a few problems from the dome light over ride to the keyless entry
and cant find the source of the draw
does anyone know of similar problems and where the keyless receiver is located on this van?
thanks

So while it is showing the draw-- do this-- pull one fuse at a time to determine the circuit that is doing the draw- use both the underhood fuse box and the IP fuse block-- then go from there.....

Re: 1997 gmc safari electrical problem

i have done that with no success ! however i did find the problem about 20 minutes ago! this vehicle was bought at a impound auction.
i found a box that was installed at a buy here pay here place. when the vehicle was locked out by the car company the person abandoned it and i bought it at a police auction.
for some reason the car would start but the box was shorting out the electrical system. box removed, problem solved
thanks for the reply though!
