Ok, this is what I don't get--if CGM release this kit, why not make a full detail kit for something else that's already out there, such as the '03 RC211V, any of the numerous F1 cars, or some of the 1/24 cars from tamiya? Why is it only the brand new stuff?? Just curious...

The CGM kits are transkits for the Tam 05 M1. This TS set looks to do the same - you can see bits of Tamiya in there. What I don't get is there's no sign of decals. Whose decals are you gonna use? They only ones done for the 08 bikes are by CGM. And they're not available separately.

I must say the set does look excellent though. Cost?? About £75.00/90 Euros maybe?

Wow, that is the news of the week
I miss only the decals, but that can be available from other companies like Renaissance or S27 or museum collection.
This transkit looks definetly better then Renaissance. Hope the price will not touch the sky

Re: More gold from TopStudio

I emailed Top Studio over the weekend about the kit and decals. These are the replies...

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your email.
It's a conversion set for converting the Tamiya's 2005 YZR-M1 to a 2008 YZR-M1.
The set contains all the cowlings, wheels, swingarm, airbox, windscreen, decals and plenty of other details for making a super details kit.
The availability will be announced later.

Regards,
Johnson Tang
Top Studio

and after another question....

Hi,

Sure, "Fiat" markings will be released first.
We will have at least 3 markings to be released: Fiat, Tech3, Italian football, and more...

Regards,
Johnson
Top Studio

This is great news indeed. Best start saving then...
