2003 Cavalier Clicking Noise when de-accelerating
Here is an odd problem maybe one of you can help me pin point. Recently my 2003 Cavalier started to make a loud clicking noise when I let off the gas, simular sound to when you hit the brakes and the pads are bad on a warped rotor
, now here is the kicker. It does not do this when starting up, ideling, or even taking off, it only happenens when I let off the gas to slow down. Another odd thing is this only happens when I am doing above 25mph I can roll down the road doing 20mph then let off the gas and it doesnt make that noise! Today I was doing 45 all is well and I let off the gas and hit brakes to slow for a stop sign and it started clicking, just for $h1ts and giggles while I was pushing the brakes I hit the gas with my other foot and the noise went away. I did this a few times and can make the clicking stop aslong as I give it some throttle. Also it appears to be coming from the right front passanger side. This car did have new brakes, rotors and wheel bearings put in last year around this time. Thanks in advance! |

What happens when you put it in Neutral at 45 (or so)?

Re: 2003 Cavalier Clicking Noise when de-accelerating
It still makes the clicking noise when I stick it in neutral, also makes the same noise in low 1,2,3.
