Post Losing Spark

hi gang. 96 sunfire 2.2 auto. im losing my spark, but i have no idea why. i inherited this mess, so im gonna do my best to get it going and down the road! LOL parts that have been replaced (not by me) have been alternater, coils, wires, oil pressure switch, crank sensor, cam sensor, plugs. i have replaced ignition mod from a cavalier i had. fired right up and ran down the drive about an eighth of a mile and quit again. now i have no spark at the coils. might i have a short in the wiring to the ignition mod that is frying them? im totally lost at this point. would the anti theft be kicking in? when you turn on the key its lit solid. when it was running for that brief exciting moment it was out. would the ignition switch be bad? im really getting pissed! any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! thank you

Re: Losing Spark

Take it to Advance / Zone, and get them to test the ignition module HOT. It probably unscrews from its mount with 2 small bolts.

Not sure exactly what you mean by 'losing spark'? Are the plug wires routed properly? Check for arcing at night with hood open motor HOT.

Any codes?

Get a multimeter (you'll need that for house and car till time ends ), and measure the spark plug wire resistance.
