1992 Maxima automatic transmission problem
I have a 1992 Nissan Maxima SE that sometimes gets stuck in 2nd gear. Ill shift to drive from park and cant accelerate very fast because its lagging in 2nd gear...it wont even shift up. But I found that if I pull over and turn the car off and back on, the problem is gone...until the next time I start it up. Another thing that I found that works (sometimes) is by shifting straight from park to first gear then to drive before accelerating. Please any info on what could be wrong would be appreciated.

Next check charge voltage at batt, at TCU. Next run tranny self diagnostics, see http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/21 After checking, repairing all those mentioned issues, if NG ---> its the yellow pages...
