dash lights problem after start the vehicle

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero and get the problem recently.I started the vehicle and the engine worked, but the dash lights don't work, power locks don't work, Speedometer doesn't work, Fuel Level Indicator doesn't work.
Any ideas?

I have the exact same problem on my 2003 Alero. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Tap your ignition switch(I did it with the keyin) with your hand/rubber mallet, if the dash lights now work, the switch is bad..
