Driver side window will not go down - 1990 Lumina APV

Yes, my drivers side window will not go down. You can press the button and it goes down about half an inch or so and you can feel the door panel "bulge out". It almost seems like it is hitting some resistance somewhere. I can hold down all I want but the window just stays motionless right there. It will go right back up just fine.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

just pull off the door panel and see what is happening. It could be the regulator that is messed up. I replaced the window motor and it's not hard.

What is a regulator and what does it do? I know what the motor is and what it does.

the regulator is just the arm that moves the window up and down. It's nothing complicated. Just see if something is in the way.
