Post good 1/4 mile time

I ran the 1/4 mile a couple days ago in my 92 integra GS-R with a B16A, intake, headers, exhaust, short shifter.... and got a 14.7 at 93.7 mph. How is that time for the car I have ?

the B16 was swapped for the B16 cause it weighs a little less, has the same horsewpoer but has a lot more potential than the B17.

how do you figure it weighs less? bigger displacement doesnt mean its heavier, all b blocks use the same basic dimensions. the only difference from the b16/b17 is the crank...same peak hp, but different powerbands. b17 has more torque, more torque is always

they have the same potential. just about any aftermarket part for a b16 will also fit the b17. lik i said the only diffeence is the crank and consequently rod lenght

what i was told is that the B16 is more reliable than the B17 and that it is easier to get more horses out of it. I was also told that higher revs on the B16 aren't as hard as on the B17.....

T, the b16 has close to a perfect r/s ratio that allows it to rev higher safer, but if you want to rev to 10k you'll need wild ass cams that make power up there (toda c, jun 3, etc), pretty strong/stiff valvetrain components, +12:1 compression, etc...you get the point. the jdm b16 makes 10 extra ponies as a result from its higher cr, a b17 w/ the same comprssion would push more hp

hahaha...get off his sack already...:hehehe: j/k, he does seem to kno a bit...jus talk to ppl an u too can become a "gsr"

as for the b17 having more torque...it has 117 compared to 116 if ur comparing the b16a4. if the guy is talking about b16a2/3 then they push out the same power, even tho the b16 has c/r of 10.4:1 compared to the b17's 10:1

stock vs stock, b16a2/3/4 will all rev to 8200, compared to 8k from the b17. jus thought i'd add to ur post a lil gsr

i don't think i'm quite at the same level as a stock type-R yet cause i went to the track with one of my buddies and he had a 2000 Type-R and I did a couple runs in it and ran a 14.3 as my best one. His car was bone stock.
