Completed: Tamiya Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 in Candy Plasma Blue

I built this model OOB for Scale Auto review, it's in the December 2008 issue.

Typical Tamiya bike, it almost falls together. I chose to model the US Ninja version of the bike, which can be built with the included decals and transfers. The only thing really missing are some round reflectors near the front brakes.

I decanted/mixed a couple TS colors to approximate Kawasaki Candy Plasma Blue. IIRC I mixed TS54 light metallic blue w/a few drops of TS17 Gloss aluminum, and then a light coat of TS72 transparent blue prior to TS13 clear.

Awesome kit, nice OOB buildup...and as we've seen from others here, it takes detail quite well. I'll do an exhaust upgrade soon now that it's done it's OOB work for the review

I'm starting with mine on christmas, but I already have original colour candy blue and I think it will came out a bit more darker... ...ish. ;-)
