The 2008 AF Voting Thread

Let's keep the debates in the appropriate threads please, and not here!

If your candidate is not on the list, go ahead and post it up, it will be added to the poll. If you are undecided, or not voting, don't vote in the poll (yet).

What the hell are you talking about? The neocons are moving in a straight line AWAY from libertarianism. A vote for any other candidate aside from the two main IS a moderate vote.

Of course they are. The Neocons are as irrelevant in this election as the Libertarians, having squandered their reputation in support of the Chenney, Bush doctrine and now need to redefine themselves in the face of the world wide economic melt down.

Their interventionist approach in interfering in other country's economic plans is about as well accepted, world wide, as Bush's decision ,the first ever in the history of the U.S.A., of a preemptive attack and invasion of a sovereign country.

Re: The 2008 AF Voting Thread

In all honesty, I would take 8 years of Kerry before 4 years of Obama. Just from how Obama has acted it honestly makes me more sad than it does upset. I honestly feel as if the US has come to something other than what it is. Sad things is, I would choose other candidates other than McCain for POTUS before Obama. For me, it is a day of sadness.

Re: The 2008 AF Voting Thread

Ron Paul somehow managed to take 2% of Montana. This really puzzles me.
A sure sign that the republican party nominated the wrong man - when a guy who's not even campaigning can take 2% of a state he's not even in. Nationally though Nader got the most votes of any independent (a whopping 1% so far) Bob Barr is closing on Nader though, so maybe independents will have taken a larger chunk once all the votes are in.

And what the hell does this have to do with Libertarianism? Oh wait, it's the direct antithesis of it. I don't understand where your anger is directed.

No anger here, the analogy was that Neocons are now as irrelevant as the Libertarians have been in American politics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberta...#United_States

It has nothing to do with any similarity in political views, rather in the resounding way mainstream voters have ignored them.

Apparently nobody gives a damn.

Otherwise he wouldn't be president right now.

Look at it this way, he may not be McCain, but at least he's not Bush.
