Are you talking about the timing belt? Did you do a timing belt change? When did this all start? Are you starting the car and it's coming off? If so, you may have damage. We need a little more details in order to help you more.

Re: Drivebelt won't stay on
ok this should be an easy fix.
walk to the passenger side of your engine, so that you are looking at your motor sideways. now directly in front of the engine is the cam sprockets which are covered by the timing belt ( about 1 1/2 in wide), whish is covered by a shrowd or gaurd. just to the left of that is a pump with a pully connected to a different belt. this should be your problem belt. This pump is the power steering pump. if you look to the left (or towards the fromnt of the vehicle) to the end of the pump and the look down about 3 to 5 inches you will see a bolt head. tighten that bolt head until your belt is tight. tight means that you crawl underneath and find that same belt and press on it in either direction, when you get under 3/4 inch of play with firm pressure ( about middle between the hardest you can push with one finger and not pushing at all) then it should be fine. |
