I don't live in AU, but you might have some luck venturing into a jewelers store and asking for polishing cloths. Also Hasegawa(sp?) makes a new set of polishing papers.

Davoaldo, having the same problem as you.
I did check the micro-mesh website and they apparently have a distributor in SA. I did email the chap - but no reply yet (emailed him over the weekend). Maybe I'll give him a call. |

(Tamiya P2000) : http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?TAM87060 It is finer than the grade 2800 polishing paper that I got from the local car paint shop. I used the Tamiya P2000 paper for removing dirt specs from my paint jobs and managed to do so without damaging the surrounding paint, great stuff. In Australia you should be able to order it from http://www.hobbyhq.com.au/ HTH, -- Eric. |

Phase5 - what is the name of the product? And, how many big are the papers - in the sense, do you reckon they'll last more than 1 kit? Thanks

Click on the world distributors and point to Australia for more info on the distributor. Appreciate if you could get back to us if you are successful in contacting the guy. |

The polishing cloths are made for the industry that uses them to polish out scratches in automobile windshields and plexiglass. Anyone that distributes large quantities of plexiglass (acrylic) products can probably get it for you, even in large sheets. It's expensive. The hobby-sized sheets will last a LONG time if you use them with water and keep them clean. I have a set that's probably polished out a hundred models. This stuff is much better for sanding model paints than standard sandpaper.
