Alternator upgrade?
I searched through the forums and couldn't find anything related to this. My friend has a 97 Eclipse GS-T also. He said he went to Auto Zone to get a new alternator because his shit out. He said that he ordered a 1996 Galant alternator because it's the SAME exact one on the GS-T's but instead of 75A they run at 90A. He said it bolts right up and the clips are the same. I believe him, but I have never heared of anyone doing this before. Would it be safe for me to do this also? Because with just my luck, my alternator shit the bed last night.
