P0128 code
Hey guys,
Just had my check engine light come on and it is reading code P0128 - coolant thermostat. I checked my coolant level and it looks good, as does the fluid itself. My temp gauge also appears to be functioning properly. My mechanic cleared the code for now and said if it comes back then I have to change the thermostat and coolant sensor. Any thoughts/ideas? As always, thanks for the advice. |

Re: P0128 code
P0128 - ECT Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature
This code is tripped when the coolant temp reading received by the pcm is below what it's programming says it should be (factory is 195 degrees F, +/- 10 degrees F). 95% of the time it's a bad thermostat.
