I have a 04 GMC Sierra Z71 X Cab and I would like to DISABLE the auto down feature of his power windows . I have fatt fingers and just can't get the hang of tapping the switch as GM says to do . anybody able to help on this issue ? I live in NW PA and in the winter this is quite annoying when I would like to open a window just a bit . I'd like to thank y'all in advance for any & all help .

Re: Auto down power windows

welcome to A/Forms. GM has a smart ass logic box called a ddm class 2 serial data logic box at the window switch. to fix the express down you might be able to use a window switch from a older truck or have a smart tech take the switch box apart and jumper the express part (by pass it) i think more than likely you are stuck with the switch as the $ add up to fast to get a quick fix.

Re: Auto down power windows

Welcome to the boards!

Smoker, huh???

I got 2 GM's with that feature, and I don't like it. And I can't imagine that stoppin' it by moving the switch to 'up' is a good thing either...
