Question Broken wires

I have a 1998 Chevrolet Venture and found two wires broken coming from the large connector under the lt sliding door, for the multi-conntact switches. The two wires are the only ones in a loom that runs back and over the fuel tank. As far as I can tell everything is working as advertised. The manual I have and the ones at the local library are pretty much useless. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

P.S. Almost forgot, the wires are Lt green and Pink

Re: Broken wires

Are they cut off at the exact same length? Like for a factory option that the vehicle does not have? Cut off at an angle like an accessory removed?

Get the factory service manual, if you're gonna' keep the vehicle. You can learn how stuff works, and fix it. And even if you DON'T have the tools or time to fix it, you'll know when a mechanic is fishin' for your wallet

Re: Broken wires

that plug runs to fuel pump. dont know what those wires you found are for. I had to completely rewire the pump from relay to the pump on a 98 venture and had to eliminate that plug in the floor. there are a lot of wires that stay on top tho and that is prob what those are. maybe going to a taillight or wiper? defog? something like that
