I worked nights for a very long time. I loved it. You may miss out on some of the night time activities, but you can get stuff done when everything is open. Plus, if you work with people, usually the night shift types are a lot of fun to hang around with.

That's funny, I keep the Whoppers and give them the rest.

I know what you mean about the winter, I live in SW NY State. Fortunately, just outside of the Lake Effect Snow Belt.
