Granted, The US bailed them out, but does that mean that in the event of a war led by a preemptive strike by the US, they have to, without a doubt say "We will fight"? No. France isnt getting flak for helping so much as it is for using its veto power over the resolutions. Russia, I can understand, they really dont want war, plain and simple. Im kinda glad to see the aussies helping out, and in the case with Blair, well, I dont think he could have gone into this not expecting such a revolt towards him.

This argument lacks credibility.I am sure that if America were invaded by a foreign power, her allies would be there like a shot to stand alongside and fight.Invading another country for the benefit of G.W.Bush is an entirely immoral proposition. When Bush asserted that it was neccesary to take down Afghanistan,we were there.Taking out Iraq is a completely different ball-game.It's a spiteful and vindictive kick in the guts for international law,and the civilised world wants no part of it.Even among the axis of the gullible who have agreed to back Bush in his invasion, the public support for a U.S. led attack is so small as to be an embarrassment. In both Britain and Australia, the general public have indicated that they would rather place their trust in a United Nations -led operation.

Just as they supported the League of Nations.

Britain is no longer on the fence. Blair won support for the war with overwhelming support today

France as well has stated that they may indeed help in a US led Coalition to disarm the Iraqi President.

The British parliament voted in favour of going to war today.Intersting to see that Blair had to rely on the right-wingers to force this vote through in the absence of support from his own party. If I had voted for Labour at the last election,I'd be wondering why the hell the leader of the Labour party was ignoring his ministers and his voters and sucking up to the worst President in modern times. If I was Tony Blair,I'd be wondering what I would be doing come the next election.
