Question front conversion for 4G 4D

Hey -

ok, if anyone of you guys knows or even done it themselves, i need to know exactly every big modifying step you'd need to do to make a hatchback / CRX ( which ever's easier - or both ) 's front bumper fit to a 4g4d sedan -
Any help will be appreciated - ! thankz ~

sedan is wider, so you would have to chop the bumper in half and then fiberglass the middle

That bumper is a hatchback bumper - it's the same width, but the bumper needs to be extended on each side about 2 inches to that it goes back far enough in the wheel well. The CRX uses different mountings, so it won't work as well. Go here for a "howto Article"

I just put a crx front end on my 4g hatch... Im positive it would be the same process to do this to a 4g4d. All I needed was crx front bumper cover, crx front bumper reinforcement, and crx fenders+corner lights. The only thing that prevents this from being a direct bolt on affair is that the crx fender is meant to have a plastic "rocker panel" cover at the bottom of it behind the front wheel. where the civic fender rolls smoothly all the way to the bottom of the car. This isn't a big issue, you can just cut both sets of fenders behind the trim peice (the one midway up the fender that runs all the way down the side of the car), then you can weld the bottom half of the civic fender to the top half of the crx fender. These pics will probably help...

Re: front conversion for 4G 4D

glad someone else tried the CRX front end conversion. i was beginning to get lonely. and i was kinda getting tired of posting my same old pictures for everyone who asked. now at least they have some fresh pictures for people to check out. yours is looking good too, you should check your superhonda link to see what mine looks like and what ive been up to.
