This isn't really an answer but for every pound lost off the crank there is an average gain of 2.7 hp...These numbers are from the booklet that came with my unorthodox racing pullies. I don't know how many pounds you are taking off the crank so I can't finish the problem for you. Sorry but this is all I know.

you dont gain HP from this mod, it just lets you use it more effieciently.
instead of using HP from the motor to spin the belt, it in turn transfers it down to the wheels, so you only free up HP, not gain it.

That is incorect. Power that was used on the AC is now more freely available. BTW there is about 7lbs of resistance on the AC pully.

it would depend upon where you are taking the hp rating from... if from the crank no you won't get any more power... if you are taking wheel power... then you may notice a lil gain from the paracitic loss of the ac...

i guess if you think about the setup it would have to produce more crank power... considering it goes crank pulley> crank> transmission... either way i'm running the unorthodox underdrive pulley and no ac belt... however i will prolly be putting one on soon... its gonna be hot in florida
