Speed limitor!!! How do i remove/eliminate my speed governor?
I just got a G6 and i've been upgrading it with some performance parts and i didnt think ahead that much. The speed limitor tops at 107...
WTF? does anyone know how i can get this problem resolved? |

Normally the G6 tops out around 112-115 with the limiter. There is no removal of the limiter itself but you can buy a Tuned ECM and TCM which will raise the limiter so you can go faster ( as well as other benefits from the tune).... I however wouldn't recommend any faster in the 6 cause once you go over that 110 mark the car gets quite squirrely and if you still have the stock LS2 tires you are asking for a wreck!

I agree on the keep it slow remarks. Did about 110 in my mom's G6 trying to make it from Cleveland to Cincinnati in record timing. I can guarantee you it will be the last time I ever go that fast in the G6. It did not seem to handle it well. I have a 2000 Grand Am with 140,000 miles on that handles speed better than my mothers G6 with 15,000 miles on it
