flywheel problem

okay so i bought a new clutch for my car. old one died on me.. but im all the way to my flywheel took of the starter unscrewed the trans. bolds took out the trans axles. but on the flywheel i cant find the size to unscrew the bolts on there. driving me nuts. tried metric/standard. metric 13 is sl close but the 14 is to big. tried 5/8 and all. im just stomped..... any ideas? its on a 01 eclipse

are you looking through a little square hole that shows the fly wheels teeth, and your seing what looks to be a torque srew(star shaped sorta). right? if so, my dumb ass had the same problem. disconnect the bellhousing from the crankcase a little bit. it will only split a little bit because the rod is still connected. get a flashlight, flat head screw driver, and stick it in the crack and twist on the little spring that is on the pressure plate. then you should be able to slide the whole transmission out and put on your clutch. if your trying to mod at all get a light weight flywheel, (you will need to get the original turned if you dont), it will only take 5 extra min. to put on. hope this helps
